Sandee's Story
BEFORE my mother left this planet she wrote me a letter describing how proud she was of me for being “beautiful and well behaved.” It was a harsh reminder of how long I had lived with an outsized concern of what others might think of me.

I spent much of my corporate career driven to behave while masking deep insecurities I held for having been a teenage mother and not holding a college degree. At 55, I finally got that degree
and the job of my dreams. I had a generous salary and meaningful
work that took me all over the world. In 2015, I was the only woman
on a large executive team and the rules that had gotten me this far failed me.
I lost my dream job because I was “too nice, too soft, too trusting.”

I pivoted my career and began coaching senior leaders and discovered a new
set of strengths and rules I was committed to living by. I learned that underneath
those conditioned habits of being nice, soft, and well behaved were a set of qualities and skills that are essential in leadership: intuition, compassion, connection, trust and presence. And, I remembered how a sense of fun and humor keeps everything in perspective. I found confidence in myself through meditation, self-reflection and discovered the wholeness and the healing powers of a wisdom that had always been present. I began horseback riding again and the equine connection sparked a deeper understanding of the qualities that inspire us to become authentic leaders.
I support women leaders in discovering the limitations of conditioned intelligence and the importance of excavating, sharing and being witnessed in their own wisdom. Together we will build a path for you to reclaim the gifts of the transformative leader you already are.

Professionally...

My decades-long career in a variety of management and executive roles and subsequent certification as an Integral Coach has equipped me as a guide who can weave together coaching in the traditional aspects of professional execution and working with leaders to bring the important aspects of an integrated self-awareness to their roles.

I have 20 years' experience with The General Electric Company and its Affiliates, the last 7 of which were in an Executive Leadership Role. As the leader of teams in Sales, Operations and Human Resources, I understand the value of embedded and effective systems and processes and, more uniquely, the positive impact a leader has when she is connected, present and respectful of the talent she has the privilege of leading.

I hold Certificates and training in Facilitating Coaching Circles™, Integral Team Coaching, The Enneagram™ studies, Power of Presence, Change Management and GE Crotonville Management Courses, and New Ventures West Professional Coaching Certification. I also hold a B.A. in Management from Saint Mary's College of California.

I have lived and worked abroad, traveled extensively and currently live in the Sierra Nevada foothills in the town of Volcano, where I am learning more about leadership as my mare, Lola, teaches me the importance of calm confidence and the integrity of leaders.
